For many people a bathrobe a must in winter. An extra layer over your pyjamas to lounge in on the couch. Or a wonderfully soft fabric that keeps you warm after showering. The right bathrobe takes the feeling of comfort to a higher level. As if you are putting on a warm hug. But, what is the right bathrobe for in winter?
Soft fabrics for your bathrobe
In the summer is a thin, airy bathrobe pleasant to wear. But in the winter we still look for thicker bathrobes for the ultimate softness. A soft fabric contributes to the feeling of coziness and warmth. But warm should not be accompanied by sweating. This can happen with fabrics that do not absorb and transmit moisture well. To prevent this, choose natural materials such as cotton and bamboo.
Aquanova EINAR bathrobe
The Einar bathrobe from Aquanova is a good example, as shown in the photo above. The inside of this unisex bathrobe is made of 60% bamboo and 40% cotton. Bamboo regulates body temperature better than other fabrics due to the micro holes in the fibers. So no suffocating, sweaty feeling! Bamboo also ensures good moisture absorption. This in combination with the wonderfully soft polyester exterior makes this bathrobe very versatile. Suitable for home after showering, a "hanging day" on the couch, or a wellness day in the sauna.
Also Vandyck has a number of bathrobes in its range with the fine combination of a cotton/bamboo interior and a soft, polyester exterior. Ideal for the winter! For example, the Beaumont and Taylor shown above, both beautiful for men and women. Both models fall below the knee, have deep pockets, a belt and straight sleeves. The Beaumont bathrobe has a shawl collar and the Taylor bathrobe a spacious hood.
Bathrobe with zipper
Also made with bamboo and cotton, but just a little more unique because of the zipper. These are the Chicago and Duchess. The zippers can be closed all the way to the top, so these bathrobes can never fall open. These Vandyck bathrobes are slightly thinner than the others, but wonderfully soft and comfortable. Since the Duchess bathrobe has a comfortable length to the knee, it may be more suitable for colder days than the Chicago, which is slightly shorter. Due to the zipper and the good moisture absorption of the bamboo, both bathrobes are also very nice to take to the sauna.
Vandyck Kyoto and Prestige bathrobe
Warm bathrobe made of 100% cotton
For true cotton fans, there are also wonderful winter options to be found in the Vandyck range – such as the Kyoto and Prestige in the photo above. The Kyoto bathrobe is made with 100% yarn dyed cotton, which creates a beautiful pattern. The Prestige is a wonderfully soft bathrobe due to the use of 100% velour cotton. Other cotton bathrobes that are suitable for winter are the Toledo (terry cotton) and the Rio (velour cotton).
