Beach towel or hammam towel?
How do you choose between a beach towel or a hammam towel? What you like best to take to the beach depends on what you find important. Are you mainly looking for a sheet that is full and soft in quality? Then a large beach towel made of velour and terry cloth is something for you. Do you want to save space in your suitcase when you go on a trip? Then choose a hammam towel.
In practical terms, a hamam towel does the same as regular beach towels. You can relax on them in the sand or on a bed and they are nice to dry yourself off with after a dip in the sea. A hamam towel dries quickly because it is made of airier cotton. Due to the airy quality, you can easily take this towel with you in your beach bag. Because hamam towels dry faster, they are also ideal for the sauna.

This cloth is airily woven with terry cloth on the back and finished with playful fringes on the edges. A regular bath towel can also serve as a towel for a day at the beach, because many of these sheets are large enough for this. A beach towel with dimensions of 70 x 140 cm is basically fine, especially for children. You can find quite a few of these in our shop, both in solid colours and with stripes. These bath towels are made of 100% cotton and fit nicely with the regular bath textiles in your bathroom. A beach towel with this size can also easily be put in your beach bag.
Blomus towel
A permanent part of our collection for years; the Riva and Dear towel by Blomus. Both available in different sizes from small guest towel to large bath towel. They match in terms of colours, so they can be beautifully combined with each other. The size of the Riva goes up to a size of 100 x 200 cm! This is the largest bath towel in our range and therefore perfect as a beach towel. Riva is made of an extra full cotton of no less than 700 grams/m², finished with a wide edge. Are you looking for something lighter? Then the Caro is perfect. This is made of cotton with a unique waffle pattern and a quality of 400 grams/m². Nice and airy, light and quick-drying. Ideal to take with you for a day at the beach. In this series, the largest bath towel is 70 x 140 cm.
Vandyck towel
In addition to the Riviera, Coco and Plain beach towels, Vandyck also has an extensive collection of regular bath textiles. Here you will find various options with large dimensions, ideal for use as a beach towel. Especially the Ranger, Vancouver and Ontario series are perfect for a day at the beach. This is high-quality American cotton with large, American dimensions up to 90 x 195 cm; the perfect beach towel! Aquanova towel
It London Aquanova bath textiles are an extensive series made of 100% Egyptian cotton, beautifully finished with a double-stitched side seam and wide finishing edge on the short side. Egyptian cotton is extra soft and sturdy due to the longer fiber. The largest size in this series is 100 x 150 cm, so extremely suitable as a beach towel. The bath towel with one size smaller is 70 x 130 cm. A nice size for a kids beach towel. Due to the large diversity of colors - also beautiful to combine with each other - there is something for both adults and children. If you use a smaller towel of 55 x 100 cm on the beach for your wet hair, you can choose it in exactly the same color as your beach towel. Multifunctional, because you can also use it daily at home.
Washing a beach towel
A beach towel has to endure sand, sun, moisture and creams. It is therefore extra important to wash your beach towels well so that they are soft and fresh again with every use. Always consult the washing instructions for this. All beach towels and large bath towels can be washed up to a maximum of 60 degrees Celsius. Only the Caro towels that are made of waffle cotton may only be washed up to 40 degrees in the washing machine and not in the tumble dryer. Put all other beach towels in the dryer at a low temperature. Drying on a rack is also possible, but the velour and terry cotton feel softer if you use the dryer.
