A standard single duvet is 140 cm wide and 200 or 220 cm long. Every single duvet cover from our collection is suitable for these dimensions. A 1 person duvet cover is used for example as a children's duvet cover. But it also happens regularly that a couple has two separate single duvets, because everyone has different needs regarding the thickness of the blanket. In that case, order a single duvet cover twice for a beautiful whole. Each Vandyck single duvet cover has a spacious bottle neck as a tuck-in strip.
2 person duvet cover
A regular 2-person duvet cover has a size of 200 x 200/220 cm, as is the case with our Vandyck collection. A duvet cover with these dimensions is suitable for a small double bed, also called a small double bed. The 2 person duvet cover has a spacious bottle neck as a tuck-in strip, which makes making your bed easy.
Twin beds
For a large double bed, choose a larger duvet, namely a lits jumeaux. twin duvet cover is the largest in our standard collection. This is 240 cm wide, so nice and spacious to lie under. The length is the same as the single duvet cover and the small double, namely 200 or 220 cm. This large duvet cover also has a bottleneck as a tuck-in strip that runs almost across the entire width.
Twin XL
A lits jumeaux XL from Vandyck has a size of 260 x 240 cm. Because this is not a standard size for regular beds, we do not have the lits jumeaux XL duvet cover in stock. However, we can order it, if you want a duvet cover in this extra large size.
Washing your new duvet cover
It is important to wash your new duvet cover correctly to keep its softness and colours as long as possible. Because the ideal washing method can vary per material, we recommend that you consult the washing instructions for your duvet cover, which can be found on the packaging and the label. In most cases, washing at 40 degrees will be fine. Although many duvet covers can be tumble dried on a low setting, it can be easier to hang them out neatly so that ironing is often not even necessary! This works especially well with satin cotton duvet covers.
